- Subject: ******* How to get rid of Auto Answer ********
-
- Dear modem fans
-
- It's about two or three months which I have a problem regarding
- turning off modem's Auto Answer (AA) after a connection has been
- established (and before the connection has been ended). We have tried
- to changing modem mode to COMAND using +++, giving ATS0=0 command and
- getting back to DATA mode using ATO command. But after returning to
- DATA mode, remote user can not do anything and it seems that modems
- hang. Indeed the CD signal is still there, indicating that connection
- is OK. So, there is the problem. Is there any way to do such a thing
- and then continue the session after ATO command? Maybe I'm doing
- something wrong in between. I would appreciate if anyone can help me.
-
- Please send your replies directly to my address, mani@neda.net.ir,
- because I'm not a list fan and if I would , I would never receive
- anything from the list!!(Is a poor connection better than no
- connection?)
-
- Thanks
